Hill Rom stretchers have a dual pedestal hydraulic design for maximum stability and most Hill Rom stretchers have a 500 lbs weight capacity or greater. Multiple accessories and options are available for Hill Rom stretchers, including IV poles, defibrillator trays, side or end brake and steer controls, IV pole caddies and more.

Most Hill Rom stretchers have a central brake and steer function, gas-lift assisted fowler (backrest), trendelenburg / reverse trendelenburg and hydraulic height adjustment. Popular models include the Hill Rom Transtar series, which includes the model P8000, 8005, 8010, 8020, 8030, 8040, and 8050.
